Feature Friday (On a Tuesday!): Meet Tanya Chin of Zinnia Designs
On this weeks edition of Feature Friday, I’ve decided to move it on up to Tuesday. Why, you ask? Because this lady makes incredible family keepsakes that would be the PERFECT holiday gift, but the last possible date to do so (for handprints) before this Christmas is DECEMBER 2nd!!! Therefore, I feel it is important enough to give you all time to get your date booked to go and get your special memento for the holidays.
That being said, Tanya does make incredible gifts other than beautiful ceramic handprints. Just sneak a peak at her Etsy page to see what I mean. Beautiful ring dishes, ornaments, spoon rests, and more. All ready to be made into the most perfect gift this season. At the time of writing this, she has 1,726 5 star reviews!! SO IMPRESSIVE and that many people can’t be wrong. Read on to get to know a little more about Tanya and to find the links to her beautiful work.
My name is… Tanya Chin
My business is… Zinnia Designs custom ceramics
My clients hire me because… I create high quality, handmade personalized ceramic pieces that are perfect for an engagement, wedding, anniversary, birth, baptism and housewarming gift. (just to name a few). I also locally do impressions of baby’s and kid’s hands and feet in clay. I capture a moment in time on a ceramic tile that will be treasured forever. Customers love choosing from many colors & designs to create a ceramic piece that is truly one of a kind.
In my free time, I… love to garden so much so that people walking by my home think I’m a landscape designer, but when I’m not gardening I love hunting for antiques. I have numerous antique collections- Mason jars, tin picnic baskets, bottles, wire baskets, anchors, lures, children’s sand shovels & toy sailboats!
One fun fact about me is… in high school I delivered a baby miniature horse (alone) and I’m actually VERY allergic to horses!
For me, a perfect day would be… sleep in until 9am, farm fresh egg breakfast, hot yoga, picnic lunch at the beach with friends, shopping at SOWA or antiquing at my various haunts, a funky cocktail before a dinner of spicy Sichuan Chinese food followed by some form of S’mores dessert.
